The great thing about training dogs these days is that most gun dogs are also the household pet. But that does make it hard to part with your dog for the three months it takes to steady him or her to wing and shot. It also means you will be more inclined to come and work with your dog and us.

If you have a flushing dog they are taught to get the bird in the air within range of the gun and hup to the flush until they are sent to retrieve. This also takes about three months.

All of our gun dogs are taught complete off leash obedience. This is done in conjunction with field training at no additional cost. After all they are of no use to you if they don’t handle well in the field. We also do obedience training for most breeds. This usually takes about a month but can take as long as a month and a half for slow owners, the dogs of course go quicker in most cases.

We train command dogs for police departments and security companies. This process takes about thirteen weeks.
